Welcome to the official site of Author Michael Ross. A voracious reader, he naturally wondered if he could not duplicate the success he’s had with short motivational articles in the fiction world, specifically mysteries.

Michael lives alone but within walking distance of his only daughter right outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has a penchant for fries on his salad on in his sandwiches.

“Bad Impressions”, the author’s first novel, is an entertaining easy read encompassing a murder mystery, romance and a window into the world of art forgery and theft. The author’s subtle sense of humor becomes apparent even during the more serious, suspenseful and romantic events. He interjects several unexpected twists and in his author’s notes he provides a lot of historical information regarding Impressionist art, forgery and theft. Overall, a very enjoyable read.
Excellent first attempt at a novel. Great, well drawn characters with a clear plot and a couple interesting twists. A nice cozy mystery or Fall.
